Have you ever reached for the stars, trained for an exhilarating sporting event or stretched yourself to achieve a personal goal? National Holistic Institute alumnus, Oliver Layco, is doing just that as he trains for the 2021 Boston Marathon® as part of John Hancock’s Marathon Non-Profit Program.
On October 11, Oliver will run 26.2 miles in Boston to raise money for the Massage Therapy Foundation. Funds raised support massage therapy research, educational resources, and community service projects!
“I am grateful for the opportunity to promote the work of the Foundation and shine a light on massage therapy’s ability to improve lives. The support of the massage therapy community means so much as I continue to raise money. It still surprises me when friends tell me it’s motivating or inspiring what I do just by lacing up a pair of shoes and putting one foot in front of the other; I am humbled to be able to represent all those who believe in the power of massage therapy.” – Oliver Layco
We hope you will show your support for Oliver’s run as he works to meet his fundraising goal! You may track his progress live on race day by downloading the official Boston Athletic Association Marathon App. Most importantly, please donate and send him a message of encouragement as he runs to make a difference for our profession!
